In this post I will tell everyone how to whiten grout and clean your bathroom tiles easily and in just a few minutes with no hard work required!

I’m sure you’ve seen the TV commercials for a whole range of bathroom cleaning products, they are somewhat expensive and usually require a LOT of scrubbing… But nothing seems to work better than just straight bleach. For this example, I purposely did not clean my shower for months. My bathroom doesn’t have a vent so it gets pretty gross pretty fast. The grout and caulking got covered in what I assume is mold and mildew.

All I did to go from picture 1 to picture 2 was use a Clorox Bleach Pen to trace the tile grout. For the shower floor you can just pour bleach onto it and wait a couple of minutes. I then scrubbed the grout and tile with a brush for about 1o seconds and let the Clorox bleach pen gel sit for a couple more minutes, then rinsed. When i scrubbed, the bleach pen solution spread across the tiles to help clean those too. See the results in the following pictures. It is amazing… If i had actually took a little more time scrubbing and applied the bleach a little bit more carefully to the grout it would have come out flawless… never the less, these results are from really not trying at all.

I have used other non-bleach based cleaners before and they just don’t work as good. They don’t get the grout quite as white. Bleach made the grout turn back to its original white color.

My only complaint is that it is too small. I wish it held more because it runs out fast. (pictures after the jump)
